polytunnel toms

all toms do well indoors. the trick to keeping an indoor crops healthy is ventilation. blight in particular will thrive in humid conditions so keep those doors open even overnight during the summer even during the winter indoor crops need to breathe.

the site from what i can gather has been there since at least the war with an additional few plots added on to accomodate some refugees from a nearby site which was built on. As with all undercover growing ventilation is important. Even during the winter i will ventilate my tunnel overnight during cold snaps to prevent condensation and use fleece to protect the crops. beware that excessive heat and humidity can be just as damaging as a lick of frost.

My usual went up in price considerably but my merchant saw it coming and switched suppliers . i was paying £4.95 per 20kg and now paying £5.20 per 20kg with a different supplier with no drop in egg production. i only keep poultry for my immediate needs and any extra are sold to cover feed costs.
