Hi brenjon ,
I have noticed a simular thing with my onions and it seems to be where the sun creeps around the neighbours house in the morning and gradually spreads across the row they go from large to small in a set pattern .Could this be the reason ?.

Hi all ,I was wondering if anyone can help ,I have Romas and Gardeners delight in the unheated greenhouse ,they are flowering like mad but after a while only a few fruit per truss has formed perhaps 2-3 , I feed them once a week and have got them in a ring with the compost then into sand /gravel mix...

Thankyou I had read somewhere that leaving on the male flowers would send the cucs bitter so I have removed them ,but thinking about it now that doesnt really make full sense ,so yes i have been removing the male flowers as they appear .should i have left them on ?

Hi All , I have just been out to the greenhose to fetch a cucumber for a friend only to find most of the small cucs have shrivelled up ,thet are planted in a ring and each week I feed them along with the toms with tomato feed ,they are Telegraph F1 does any one know why this should happen . Thanks for the advice all ,They seemed to be doing so well ,I would agree with you Alan I will give Wilkos a wide birth next year and buy from the seed catalogue cheap isnt always cheerfull .I reckon I will step it up next year and try from seed.
