Hi
No this was where the onions and shallots lost there roots and some just fell over as there roots rotted and most of them had a black type covering and the leafs died very early on my leeks where not affected thnks for the reply

Hi Like a lot of people we lost all onions,garlic and shallots last year on the local allotments Does this mean that we can or can`t sow them this year by moving them to another area or are we going to suffer the same this year i read that onion rot last for up to 20 years a nother thing i read that...

Hi My allotment has become infested with green nightshade,the only allotmant with them on,none of the other 60 odd alltments have any,there are millions of the things,they arrived last auturm and they are just as bad this year,i find it very hard to keep them in check as they seem very quick growers...

Hi I`m quite a new gardener with veg and i have had a allotment for 3 years,the first year evry thing was ok but the last 2 years i had a lot of veg go to seed with out harvesting them,last year i had 3 lots of spinach go to seed and even some bolthardy beetrot do the same and the fennel did the sam...
