Warm and sunny despite the Harr rolling in off the sea, got the big hedge clipped with hand shears so as not to disturb nesting birds too much, left the top for later. Grass cut too, it is almost looking summery out there.

Orange Queen is my wife's favourite to eat, easy to grow, I have grown Cour DI Bue, didn't have any real problems. Growing some new ones this year, I will report back on their growing later in the season.

We have constant rain, but luckily not heavy, it should do more good than harm in our immediate area, some areas have sadly seen a lot more, something we will have to plan for I guess.

The harbour along with many others on our coast have been taking some beatings from recent storms, a lot of boats are taken out of the water during the winter.

Most of my carrots germinated, the tops were there(small) one day and gone the next, I shall try growing in containers next year.

The garden is doing ok, Rabbits eating the wife's new flowers, so chicken wire fence erected, Rabbit now gone, slugs and snails are hammering the peas and lettuce, but the Song Thrushes are doing their job well enough, smashed snail shells on the path. Been fishing, didn't catch anything, but another step in my recovery, though I have more surgery pending, will be glad when they fix me though.
