Early warning that the world will end tomorrow :( :(

Now, why did I spend so much time sowing seeds this morning :?: :?: :?:

At least after tomorrow some are going to look very stupid and some are going to be laughing. I know which camp I belong in. Perhaps it was worth while sowing this morning after all

Wish I had known earlier, I wouldn't have bothered watering all of my maincrop potatoes this morning

Look on the bright side. You'll get your chips one way or the other

tbh that bloke with the bible does look as though he needs some kind of salvation.

Have to be careful how I choose my words, but so many problems in the world and due to people like that - and the poor weak willed people who are so easily lead into such beliefs.

Still just in case I might have a big kebab tonight, since I won't need to worry about the calories tomorrow (apparently)

Have a good weekend all.

Ah now - that's the Mayan's prediction :) I trust that one more ;) Without knowing complete details the prediction involves the sun's radiation being the cause or planetary alignments- and scientists have already predicted unusual solar flare activity peaking in 2012.

Marginally more exciting than the Olympics ;)

Looking out of the window, he might just have been out by a couple of days.

The world can't end yet. I've still got several bags of last year's strawberries in the freezer to use up!. Strange how we folks on here all centre our thoughts around our gardening activities.

Well, Primrose, get them shifted over the summer!

The mad pastor got it wrong! The end is now coming in the autumn.

A couple of great quotes:

But Mr. Camping said his company — which is a nonprofit — would also not return donations given by his followers in advance of the May 21 prediction. “We’re not at the end,” he said, “Why would we return it?”

Pressed by reporters, Mr. Camping did offer a measured apology — “If people want me to apologize, I can apologize” — before adding that the missed prediction had somewhat humbled him. “I’m not a genius,” he said. “I pray all the time for wisdom.”

Well, there's a prayer that wasn't answered!

It's obviously quite a fine line between delusion and fraud. Some of the more established organisations run it pretty close too.
