Congratulations Old Herb (just how old are you really 35?). You have stolen a long march on us as we only sowed our first rows last week.

Other than a bit of Rhubarb and my onions and shallots, there is nothing yet up or out.

The store will be tomatoes in Jars you fine fella, as we intend to preserve a large portion of our crop. About 200 plants (inc peppers & chilis) will also be going to Malvern for people.

Mrs P has just berated me for putting "fine fella" down as she is sure you`re a female! I, on the other hand, asked how many women wind up Church clocks and are as strong as an ox? Please advise as this will rumble on all day otherwise.

Hi Herb, your kind nature shines through like a beacon in your writing. Rub some of it onto me please as I certainly have a few rough corners that need rounding off.

Your a good man to have on the site . God bless you.
