moving a shrub?

Sorry this is slightly off topic....
I have a Choisya ternata (aztec pearl) that I planted about 12 or so years ago. It was a house warming gift from my mum. Back then I had no idea about shrubs (just fruit & veg
) and just plonked it in. It is now massive (I do prune it every year) and is right at the front of the border.
My question is.....can I get away with moving it do you think? I just want to put it at the back of the border. It always puts on a magnificent display at this time of year, and for sentimental reasons, I don't want to just dig it up and bin it.
TIA !
