Has anybody got any ideas on eradicating Chafer Bugs? Presumably the numerous bugs we are finding in our planters at the moment were laid last year, the compost was re-newed in the Spring of 2010.

That seems to confirm what I thought, Cock Chafers live in grassland. I have only found them when digging new areas from turf. Are you absolutely sure they are what you have got in your planters? Compare what you have with the RHS pictures, they tend to curl up. Could you rather have Vine Weevils?
