Weed killer and the lunar cycle

A bit of an odd one this, but...

...have any of you planned the use of week killer using the lunar cycle? For example, when would be the best time to spray mare's tail or bindweed using weed killer based on the lunar cycle? If anybody has ever done this and has had good results I would be interested to hear from you.

This is an experiment we are trying at our allotments.

Any gardening done with reference to the moon is lunacy.

Hi Barry

I somehow feel that people who garden by the moon are also very anti-weed-killer.
I suspect I know the results of your experiment already, but do keep us informed.
What exactly is the thinking behind it?

Hi Alan,
If there is anything to growing by the moon, then weed killer absorption should be better on some days rather than others. So, when will take up of weed killer be most effective? I'm just curious. I will happily sacrifice babies at midnight if we can kill mares ttail and bind weed!

Hi Barry

If you have a look at this very old thread you will find that the effect of weedkiller on marestail is governed by factors much nearer to home than the moon
