Do you buy organic?

I see from the
Soil Association Organic Market Report 2011 that after a decade and a half of growth organic sales have fallen back significantly in the past two years.
The things we
always buy as organic are now limited to milk and carrots. We would buy organic eggs if we didn't produce our own. We will buy organic fruit occasionally, but only if it looks better than non-organic, the same for vegetables we don't grow ourselves.
Do other always, regularly or never buy organic? And if you do, has the range and amount you buy decreased?

I grow organic veg and summer fruits and have my own organic eggs then I top up with stuff from an organic box scheme which is excellent quality and supply organic dairy produce and organic fruit like oranges and bananas etc they did well even through the snow and are cheaper than the supermarkets for organic veg and fruit and deliver it too. Organic meat is expensive but as I am vegetarian that doesn't bother me much, I only buy meat for guests.

Snooky, while I agree with your opinion of bottled water, I don't agree organic being a scam I can actually visit he farms where my box scheme comes from and see it's not a scam, check out the care for wildlife, methods of growing, and animal welfare, it's more than just organic, it's a philosophy and a way of life.

I buy Calon Wen Organic Milk as it tastes better, almost certainly because it is not homogenised - and I can get the cream off the top if I so desire! Other than that in veg I look for freshness, as far as it is detectable. And of course there is the whole question of what organic actually means as far as imported veg is concerned.
Meat - question of a trusted supplier rather than whether organic or not.

Evening N.B.
A flyer came through my letterbox a few weeks ago advertising an organic box of fruit and veg.eight items mostly in season, sourced in the U.K.visit our farms etc.I can't go to the farms where they grow the citrus fruits, kiwi fruit etc.certainly not in this country ergo they are bought in from abroad and could be from any old farm and labels, like figures can be easily forged.£14-99 is being asked for the smallest box to feed one or two persons.
I must admit that I am a sceptic when a " title"is put on an everyday essential item and charged extra for it.Some philosophy!!
