Do any of you remember me saying last year that I had to grow (almost) everything in pots 'cos of hubby? And do you remember me saying that when we 'do the garden' he/we will be putting in a little veg patch (only about 5' x 7', but hey! it's a 'patch')

WELL.....we have some time off over Easter, and he has said a couple of times that we will get started on the garden and get the veg patch done!

YIPPEEEEEEEEE :D :D :D

Dear Piglet6, gardening can be a funny old hobby sometimes, especially vegetable growing, it can get the least of interested people hooked.

I'm very pleased for you, and a cunning plan regarding the strawberries.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Delighted for you Piglet. Sometimes it's a case of Softly, Softly catchee monkey. Let him have a few of his own tomato plants and he'll hopefully be hooked for life. Sounds like the strawberries have been a very good bait. Don't forget to praise him loudly for HIS idea when you pick your first warm ripe one !

That's great news.
I am very tempted to try strawberries in hanging baskets (I'm sure I have seen pictures of this).
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
