Those poor Japanese, ships sailing majestically across fields on the crest of a wave, blazing things following, shivering buildings, crushed cars........
Seen on pc at work, it looked on one helicopter shot like the dried out rotary mown August lawn when you empty the paddling pool, something neat produces debris which lifts out and forms the edge of the expanding pool of water, like a tumbling ever reforming dam.

Terrible event but the power of nature is enormously impressive.
It is so hard to find the right words as your mind is so full of tumbling thoughts, a real scattergun of thoughts.

It does make you realise that, despite rain, frost, wind, snow and the rest that gets thrown at us in the UK, and the occasional tragic death from the weather, we are incredibly lucky to live where we do.
Feeling grateful

And to me, it always drives home that, we as humans aren't quite as clever and in control of everything as we would like to think we are.

Watching what has been at a stroke wiped from the face of the earth leaves you speechless.
A shocking series of before and after brings it all before your eyes
