Ok I appologise in advance for this vague rubbish explination.

Can anyone tell me if the damage on my courgette is thrips. The leaf veins left intact but most of the rest of the leaf gone. If this is the case how do you get rid of the blighters.

Ohhh should of mentioned the cold frame they were in was on an old strawberry bed. But it has not been one for about 2 years.

Any help greatly appreciated. :D

It sounds more like a caterpillar problem to me.

I know what you mean OH, but did not find any. Unless they were hiding and laughing at me. Would not put it past them!!! :D

Now that you say that you dont think it could have been my old favourite slugs?

Hello Fair Weather

I think you are right. Slugs or snails sound like the culprits. It’s a little early to see caterpillar damage and I don't thing thrips would be that hungry!
