Sincere sympathies and concern for all our New Zealand friends and their loved ones at this time of further earthquake activity that has tragically damaged the beautiful city of Christchurch and environs, with fatalities and injuries being reported continuously on television and radio, and to relatives in the U.K.who must be extremely worried.
Regards snooky

I e-mailed a firend who lives in Christchurch (works for Air NZ I think) and he and his wife are OK.

my friends are OK too, but they have lost someone close to them. My friend was separated from her twin boys as they were in daycare and she was at work, it took her an hour to get there to see that they were OK. this is normally a 5-10 min journey. I cannot begin to imagine how she must have felt.....

Just heard that my brother-in-law's sister and her daughters and families are all OK.
They are all living together at the moment. One of the daughters houses will have to be demolished as it is unsafe.
They have no power, and no toilets. The only cooking they can manage is with the barbeque.

At least they're safe.
Cheers PJ.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long...........
