Winter puzzle #1 - How well do you know your veg?

Something to fill the winter nights.
I have been busy "disemvowelling" some of the plants you might find in a vegetable garden. All you have to do is put the vowels back. For instance, rhbrb would lead you to rhubarb. But that's a bit easy! The following list contains some common and some unusual plants. All have appeared at one time or another on the KG Forum.
How many can you identify?
PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS UNTIL YOU HAVE ALL TWENTY
1 - bt
2 - c
3 - chl
4 - khlrb
5 - kl
6 - kr
7 - lk
8 - lvg
9 - mzn
10 - ndv
11 - nn
12 - p
13 - pkch
14 - ptt
15 - qn
16 - rch
17 - rgn
18 - sg
19 - skl
20 - tmt

No 2, the C one, is driving me insane, it's not an abbreviated one is it?

Well, that proved to be fairly easy. Peter got them all first, followed by Geoff. Anyone still puzzling over number 2?

I don't think i would have come up with that name.
But putting Oca into the search on this forum, i couldn't help but notice you replied to the topic, Plumpudding.

I stand corrected. I've always spelled it with two c s, but find that is the name of a berry bearing tree. I'd got the right plant though - I've had a few of the pretty pink tubers in a stir fry this week.
Thanks for the quiz

Yes, thanks for the quiz, Alan. I didn' get No 2 either and oca still didn't mean anything to me so I had to read the Wikepedia link.
