John and I met at a party of mutual friends who now live in France they have today made the journey back to be our witnesses, so tomorrow the four of us will be at the register office at 11.30 it will be 11years to the day that we met. Isn't that romantic?

Dear Johnsgirl, what lovely news to read first thing in the morning.
I really do hope you have a very special day.
Does this mean now mean your avatar will be Johnswife, sounds nice.
I will be thinking of you both at 11.30.

Congratulations JohnsGirl, I hope you have a brilliant day and that the rain holds off for you long enough to get some photos. It is truly persisting down here today.

Thank you all for the best wishes we had a lovely day, the weather was good and we got some lovely photos. I can't believe we've been married for a fortnight already.
Sorry I haven't let you know how we got on before but a few days later John found his dad collapsed on his bedroom floor, Ted will be 99 in February and still lived on his own although he needed a lot of looking after, he is still in hospital but is much improved although we have been told he can't go back home. We had already come to that conclusion so it looks like we are going to have to find some sort of care for him.

Dear Johngirl, so glad you had a smashing wedding day, bet you looked just gorgeous.
But so sorry to read about Johns Dad, hope he keeps improving and that you are able to find him somewhere nice to retire to.

I have just been looking through my old posts trying to find something and came across this post. I was wondering how you are going on Johnsgirl(wife) as it is a year since your wedding and I was wondering if you found somewhere for John's dad to stay somewhere. Has he had his 100th birthday?
Happy anniversary

Ladies many thanks for your best wishes, we didn't really celebrate on the day as Liverpool were playing Chelsea at home and as John has been supporting LFC for more than 60 years he couldn't miss the match, thank goodness they won 2-0. So he was a happy bunny especially as his son had come up from London to watch it as well and had brought his 2 year old son with him. He is the apple of John's eye and he thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.
We had been going to go up to the Lake District for the day on Monday to see the late autumn colours but of course the weather put a stop to that, we are trying again tomorrow I hope there are still some leaves left on the trees after all the winds!
Catherine you asked after John's dad, we managed to find him a care home near to where he lived and he had his 99th birthday in February but unfortunately he died on the 9th March which I've just realised is 8 months today! It was a shame that he didn't make it to his 100th, but his memory was going and he kept getting upset and it was hard for John and his sister so maybe it was for the best.
Keep your fingers crossed for us tomorrow for the weather, and that we still see some lovely colours.
