This morning we have woken to a lovely day so we are off to Kirkby Lonsdale today for a walk. Then for the rest of the weekend we will be decorating as rain is promised.

What is everyone else doing today? What ever you do have a nice weekend.

Morning Catherine, going to pot some more bulbs up for forcing, should be pleasantly warm in the greenhouse.

Then lots of little jobs, sorting pots out and......

That's not fogeting elevenses and a good luncheon.

Enjoy it Catherine, its a lovely day here too, which is putting a smile on my face. More in survival mode here - I care for my 92 yr old Mum, she was fidgety last night so I stayed up late till she settled as my partner is going up to London to see his Mum in hospital today, at four am she fell out of bed, and again at 6 am, so we're feeling a wee bit tired and I'm hoping my partner doesn't doze off whille driving !
OH, can i borrow you, my greenhouse is in dire need of a clean and tidy at the moment - not enough hours in the day!

I planted up a tub of miniature cyclamens which look really lovely. My husband is finishing off a new birdtable as the roof has rotted on our old one and bought tables only have room for about two or three birds at a time.

Dear Nature's Babe, if you lived a little closer, nothing would give me greater pleasure than helping out.

Having spent the Saturday in the garden clearing up some of the mess left by my lovely chickens, I had an hour at the allotment this morning picking stuff for the week and then several hours clearing out my main greenhouse. It looks lovely I still have the second greenhouse to do, there's nothing in it apart from some shelving, because the chickens have used it as their solarium/dustbath for the past couple of years. I need to clean all the glass and wash all the dust away so I can use it again next year.

I may miss my chickens, but it is SO nice to be able to do some gardening and not have it all trashed within 24 hours. I've promised myself a beautiful garden again for next summer.

I went to the allotment this morning to do a bit of clearing up. Took some branches down the far end to the bonfire site and noticed a new lot of horse manure had appeared. 13 barrow loads later and it was considerably smaller
It's a long walk but well worth the effort

I have been doing battle with my new second user computer....
I should have been out enjoying some gardening......

It keeps shutting down and re booting.....and annoyingly has just removed all the emails from the inbox....

Lovely day...Bah Humbug...

When I went to work to shut greenhouses up late this afternoon I decided to get out a pair of secateurs and go pruning the blackcurrants.....a sanity restoring exercise.!!.

I am thinking of reaching for an axe here currently........................

Clive I have been working with computers for several years and they still drive me mad. An axe sounds good to me. Give me the outside anytime. No matter what the weather is.

When I go walking if the weather is really wet I like clearing drains.

Believe me, if anyone lived close and was need of help, i would be straight round, of course a big slice of cake would get me round all the quicker, so Peter isn't totally wrong.
