Recently we down loaded several walks called Bowland Walks: Tatham Fells and over the last few weeks, on a Monday, we have been working our way through the list. They have been brilliant, written by Richard Wilson they are very clear and informative and we have had a really good time doing them.

It just helps if you carry a good map with you but really you could manage not to if you did not have one.

So if you are in the area on holiday do try them.

Oooh that sounds wonderful Catherine. I'm
I did manage to get away from my caring responsibilities one morning this week and enjoyed a country walk, no frost yet in our area so I saw lots of fungi including one rare one

and I returned home with pounds of chestnuts, it was blowing a gale but very bracing and enjoyable.

I know Richard and his dog - have you found the dog's website? If you are doing another one round Lowgill just pm me and arrange a break for a brew.
