Morning Alan, thanks for that, i'm sure if i taped my voice, it would be sure to scare the Deer off.

Hi Alan,
Unwanted CD's form part of my Deer defence plus another fence which is above the Rabbit fencing with the CD,s hung loosely on the wire. They even reflect moonshine and is movement to the Deer and they are off like the wind!
The Deer do not like the movement of the discs. This worked for many years but one section of the old wire broke this last year and the Deer were in in a matter of days so I know that my method works. Originally I had some stainless steel discs cut and then CD's conveniently got invented!

Dear Johnboy, i remember you writing of this before, what sort of distance do you leave in between each disc.

We are not being troubled by Deer at the moment, but it's always nice to have another defence against them, as they do so much damage in one night.

They are left to swing on the wire and move in the breeze and are spaced at approx 5ft intervals but at differing heights. With a breeze and moonlight the effect even had me running away! Quite eerie!

Wishful thinking if Muntjac are the problem. Whist out for a run through the woods on Tuesday I ran past one on the track, only maybe 4 metres away from me. It scarecly bothered to move !

Morning Tony, you are quite right about the Muntjac being unphased by people nowadays, the one we had in the allotment 18 months ago, i had to literally chase out, that's why i think the C.D's are a good idea.
Hopefully they haven't seen any humans loading the discs, so they won't put a link between humans and C.D's.
