I've just been checking the weather forcast and once again phrases like 'The start of the period will be a few degrees lower than average with temperature reaching above average by the end of the period'
Well, what is average????
I've try 'Average temperature' as a google, but have got nowhere. What I really want is average temperature by month for Carmarthenshire. I will settle for the whole of Wales.....but just can't seem to find it.
Anybody know any helpful websites with this info on?

Hi Vivie
You used to be able to get a weather chart from the BBC weather website showing the 'average' for a particular area but I can't seem to find them anymore?
Try the met office at
http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/. They may be able to help.

Hello Viviane it might be better if you don't know the average temperature for this year as it has been well below, and seems to be staying that way for a little longer, and we don't want you turning to your childhood sherry bottle again.
Kind regards a chilly Old Herbaceous.
We will always get some sort of weather.

Thanks Diva,
But I already use the Met office website and they are the ones that tell me 'it will be a few degrees below average temperatures'. I have yet to find the average temperature though!
If the weather continues this cold I'll think I'll have to resort to Brandy to keep me warm on those cold nights, Old Herbaceous.

The BBC weather page does a 5 day average and I think you can request a year on year comparison.
