Hi

Can someone please tell me what is wrong with my toms :?

The above photo shows the tom is yellow around the calyx area

The photo below shows that it is not fully ripe on the inside but appears ripe on the outside, remove the top of the tom and it tastes fine,

Kevin - they look pretty normal OK to me. Possibly the little shaded part is where the calix was growing which has protected it from the sun. If the tomato tastes OK I wouldn't worry about it.

I think it's what is called "greenback" (which can also be yellow). It's often caused by the greenhouse being too hot, by overfeeding and/or shortage of potassium. We get a few every year but they are perfectly good to eat and don't taste any different. I wouldn't worry, Kevin.
