Hello there.

I live in North Yorkshire - and about 1/3rd of my vegetable area is in shade for half of the day (the morning) - I always struggle to know what to put at this end of the plot.

I have previously tried parsnips (not a bad crop), garlic (poor result), main crop potatoes (poor yield) and now leeks (much smaller than I would expect at this time of the year) and some overwintering onions (all cropped but no large onions produced - which is not necessarily bad).

Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am mindful of rotating crops etcetera.

A morello cherry tree will tolerate half shade, beets, salad greens, chard anf leafy greens, should cope with light shade

I am having a prolonged 'senior moment' trying to remember what would be the grammatical term for 'light shade' there must be a word.
As for Dappled I thought this was for 'AWSIS!
