Hi

i am after a large roll of enviromesh, I have found it cheapest on http://www.gardening-naturally.com/acat ... -Fine.html

I think i need the ultrafine because i grow oriental leaves and have loads of flea beetles, however i can only find it at 2.3m width and would love 3m.

Does anyone know where i can get it from?
Or can i just use normal enviromesh to keep flea beetles away?

Riverford organic box scheme sell it after use on the farms, in big industrial type sheets, not reusable for a farm but fine for a garden - for a fiver a box second hand. if that helps. I have not tried it myself so can't vouch for it, just noticed it on their site.

Not quite the same question but I bought a 50 meter length of fleece from Kays last year but didn't need to use it till this spring. Previous orders I have been happy with but this length is proving to be of very inferior quality. Splitting easily in the wind and rain when we get it.
In hindsight I would think the envirofleece/mesh would be a much better buy.

Have you tried the LBS Garden Warehouse website (Colne, Lancashire), geacher? Google will find it. LBS makes the stuff and cuts it to size, if required.

You know that there are two thicknesses of fleece available, don't you, Beryl? The more common 17gm thickness usually only lasts a season for me and is easily torn, but I always reuse the 25gm thickness for several seasons. after use I shake it and hose down and then wash it on a 30 degree wash in the washing machine - comes up as new! After two or three years it usually has a few thin patches or even small holes and I don't use it for carrots (against carrot rootfly any more) but it is still ok as frost protection, say.

Thanks for your reply Monika. Yes I do know about LBS. And like you I have always had the heavier weight fleece before and been able to wash it.
It really was my own fault for not checking my last order from Kays.
Now we have so much damage rom the foxes and badgers I have invested in one length of enviromesh, I will have a think what to do for next year.
