Hi

I grow lots of different types of oriental leaves that i sell sometimes to local restaurants that take around 28 days to be at the size i like them. What other leaves other than mustards can i grow with this mix that will be ready at the same time? I was thinking maybe chard, radish? any advice would be great.

Thanks

Hi Geacher,
Swiss Chard grown thick along the row and harvested at 3-4" is a very quick return vegetable but although I grow it this way as well as large plants I have no idea how long it takes. I have some on the go at present but cannot remember when I planted it. Fat lot of good I am!

Hi Geacher

You do not say what size you like your leaves or whether you are growing outside or under cover.

Assuming you like them fairly small, you could try mixed lettuces, spinach, beetroot, salad rocket, cutting endive, broad leaf cress. With the exception of the last I reckon you would not think these ready to cut after 28 days - more like 32-35.
