Pupa on blackcurrant bush

Last week I noticed a lot of aphids on my bush so I rubbed as many off as I could. Today when I checked on the underside of some of the curled leaves I found a small pale green pupa which I squashed. Then I found a little ladybird under one, then I started to worry that I had squashed something to do with ladybirds. As I don't know the life cycle of the ladybird I looked on the internet and found that they do turn into a pupa at one stage but it looked dark where the ones on my bush where pale green. I have looked to see if it can be any other pest but I can't find anything. Anyone got any ideas?
