That sounds a very good price. What perfume were they? Lavender? Honeysuckle? Or plain old eau de poulet?
I spread some of these on my strawberry border the other day and when I was down on my knees weeding amongst them, I was amazed at how longer their smell lingered. Perhaps that explains why some people have problems with foxes digging up their flower beds, thinking there's some rather "gamey" morsel hidden just below the surface.

When I saw these on sale in my local Asda, I reckoned the price had to be a mistake, as we had seen 7 1/2 kilo buckets for £10.99 in the garden center, the previous weekend. I was delighted to find the price was correct! I bought two and later in the week, another two. It's a good job they didn't have them in stock for long, as I would have been compelled to keep buying them at that price.

I had to laugh at a woman pondering....the last three on sale hadn't got the handles on.....they were laid on the bottom of the shelf. She was wondering if they would reduce them because the buckets didn't have handles. I picked the handle up and slotted it in place and she beamed as though I had performed some sort of technical wizardry! I remarked that, handle or no, it was a bargain but she was more interested in its use as a bucket.....I suggested the pound shop, where she would find those huge builders buckets for a quid. (I think Asda sell those for not much more anyway.)

And.........the till operator thought it was ....chicken food!!!

Cheers!
Happy with my lot
