Will anyone else be brave enough to join me in my shaky belief that we've finally made it through the winter?

Well, I have been out in the garden in my shorts a couple of times - definitely not a sight for sore eyes, and yes, my bum probably does look big in them!. But I hate going around with those pasty white legs so do try to get a bit on sun on them at every opportunity.

Nah then lass, theer's nowt wrong wi' bums - a Yorkshire poem in praise of them:

'Ah'v pray-azed thi smile, aht leets thi face
when tharz bin evvin fun.
Ah'v pray-azed thi 'air, sa smooth, sa neet,
but -- ah'v nivva pray-azed - thi Bum.
Nah, int it strange, of all the bits
that's blossomed, bloo-o-o-med, n flowered,
ah'v nivva pray-azed thi Bum at all,
an baht-it, tha'd fall ower.
Wi nivva mention Bums at all,
tha're somehow a disgrace,
but whi thi buzzum facing't front,
bah't Bum, tha's on thi face.
So, 'ello Bum, thi birthdays 'ere,
cum on, ev sum fun,
Sing out whi joy, rejoice, rejoice,
shout 'Appy bithday Bum.

Dear Alan, i would be proud to join you in the belief that we have finished with Winter. Especially as the weather forecast has just said it's going to be 16 tonight and 25 tomorrow.

I love the bum poem, Alan. I like the idea of it being a counter-weight for the bosom

Well if winter isn't over I just did a lot of planting in vain. LOL

Hey, folks, it's actually raining! After a hot and sunny day (24 degrees!), it's now pouring - just what the doctor ordered. Hope it continues for a few hours!

Some lovely pockets of mist about here this morning, a sure sign we are in for a warm one.

Looks like another of those get-things-done-early-then-take-it-easy-and-keep-cool-days :)

It was quite misty overnight...refreshingly so for the garden.....but clear blue now....I have just been checking out a few airliner contrails up in the blue and then looking at the flight radar thingy....

Not showing on there was our local microlightist who was out very early making the most of the now clear conditions....and waking me up when I had actually got to sleep............
