Hi Kevin,
I use a normal HB for writing white labels and it is not affected by ultraviolet and can easily be rubbed out and the label re-used.

Hello Kevin
You could try one of the DIY sheds like B&Q or your local builders merchants. They will have things like carpenter's pencils for marking wood and tile pencils (chinagraph type) that are used for marking tile and glass.

Hi Kevin
I agree, word for word, with Johnboy. Don't bother searching

Hi all
I do believe that oldherbacious was once asked to leave the zoo because he was caught teaching the monkeys some new tricks

Well, now you know - and the mentally challenged looking one on the right is me.
Notice that OH is holding the horticultural pencil - at least I think that's what it is

Monkeys aside, Kevin, what about a fine-pointed permanent pen from a stationery shop? I found that pencil sometimes faded and could also not always be easily read when the label was mucky, so I now use the afore-mentioned pen.

Hi PJ,
The old Air Force saying "If you lead with your chin you should expect to get a thump" seems to be true.
