I've never grown over Winter sets before and have had over 90% of my Radar die and rot away to nothing so, as they are rather worse than sorry, I am afraid I can't help. You could try a liquid feed not too high in Nitrogen like Phostrogen.

Dear Binky,
rose food or wood ash are good at this point for your ow onions.
regards Sally Wright.

Geoff: Mine are Radar and have survived. They just need a bit of a boost.
Sally: I have got this big box of rose food that came free with something last year - and as I don't grow roses it has just sat there. N:P:K = 6:5:10. Do you think that will be OK?

I lost all my over wintering onions here in the frozen north but all my garlic survived, I have now put in spring sets should I give them a boost with rose food? The garlic too?
