One of my lottie neighbours has three or four rows of what I think is garlic. Around them, lying on the soil, are lots of canes - both between rows and around the edges.
Those plants haven't been touched by rabbits, even though they are eating everything else in sight (and I know from bitter experience that our allotment rabbits love garlic!).
Have any of you ever heard of this as a way of deterring rabbits?
I still don't know if that is why he put the canes there, but I can't think of any other reason why those plants are untouched, and would be interested to know if anyone else has either tried this or even heard of anyone doing it!
