Sorry I've been so quiet-- they had closed our community garden while they put in all sorts of plumbing, and the more cynical and suspicous of us wondered if they'd ever unlock the gates... but they did! We visited this weekend and our garden now has a water tank and several spigots and a water fountain. Very official looking!

With all the brouhaha (and some very unpleasant social interactions-- I got called a troll by a steering committee member. *sniff* Me, a troll!), I haven't felt inspired to garden. Now it's April, I have no seeds started and my plot looks bare. (Well, except for the things that survived the winter: Surprise pansies for the win! Shame about the gladiolas...)

Hoping to read through here and get inspired... and maybe buy some big seedlings from somewhere local. :}

Alia, I am soooo delighted for you. I wondered what had happened to your patch. And now you have water too!!

Hopefully now Spring is here and there's the chance to feel some warm sunshine on your back, you'll get your enthusiasm back. There's nothing like sowing a few seeds and watching them grow for bringing some pkleasurable anticipation back into your life.

Can you get Bright Lights variety Swiss Chard and Red Kale seeds over there? If so, you could sow some of these, get some colourful foliage and have something nice to eat as well.

I'm delighted to see you back on here; I too thought you must have been closed down. I seem to recall there was an evil plot to oust you all and lay turf or something equally nasty.

There's still loads you can grow for this year, I've not yet started my beans, squash, courgettes, cucumbers etc, and as Primrose says, go for something colourful too and you'll perhaps have less criticism from the idiots.
