I've been given a pile of twin wall polycarbonate sheets, various lengths but all 2' wide, from one of those blow away greenhouses that somebody has got fed up with retrieving and trying to straighten the frame.
My original idea was to make them into panels with slate battens so I could use them as cloches as and when required. I am now thinking of turning them into a cold frame as a permanent salad bed, the idea being to make it a bit more substantial so it doesn't suffer the same fate as the greenhouse.
What do you think of a permanent salad area rather than moving it with the other rotations? I don't grow any Brassica family salads.
