Free beekeeping courses

I heard about this the other day so thought I would post up. The courses are only being held in Manchester, London and Inverness. The courses are free and at the end you get a free beehive too. You need to fill in the form to register your interest.

Thanks Lizzie, that was very interesting.
Obviously there's still much debate on the causes of the decline in bee numbers. However I was interested to see the comment on this website:
"The Co-operative Food will continue with its temporary prohibition on the use of neonicotinoid pesticides on own-brand fresh and frozen produce which was introduced in 2009."
After the awareness campaign run by glallotments here on the use of aminopyralid leading to comtaminated manure, it would be interesting to see if there's a comporable culprit here (any maybe some alternatives that the commercial growers can switch to which are less damaging to bees).
