We have just come back home from the Harrogate Spring Flower Show, and what a good first day it was! Lovely weather, not too packed, lots and lots of interesting displays and trade stands and our own great chief - Steve Ott! He was busily accompanying one of the KG demonstrations, so I could no speak to him, but it was good to see him "in the flesh".
Anyway, if you can spare the time and don't live too far away, the show is really worth going to (it continues until Sunday). Being more of a vegetable rather than flower grower, I had not been to the Spring Show for several years, but I am glad we went.

Dear Monika, i've always wanted to go to the Harrogate show, but it's a long distance to travel, for me.
But i'm glad you had a pleasant day.

We went on Thursday and it was lovely. I try to get to Harrogate show every spring as it seems to mark the start of the gardening season proper.
For a change I didn't come back with tons of plants that I have to find a place for as we took a friend with a wheelchair and couldn't get anything much else in the boot, so she did me a favour.
It would be worth coming to Harrogate for a couple of days if you live a long way off, as you could also visit Harlow Carr gardens which is just up the road a couple of miles. You need a day to do each justice.
