Beautiful sunny day down here on the south coast today made even
more perfect by diging out all the couch grass around my raspberries
in the company of the sparrows and a robin.
Obviously haven't got it all but went home with job well done feeling.

Dear Westi, i know just what you mean, it always gives me great pleasure taking on jobs that others dread and just getting stuck in and getting them done.

Digging is so soothing, isn't it? Definitely my favourite gardening occupation. Wish I could get on with it, but it's far too frosty and snowy at the moment.

Like you Monika, I just wish I could get on with the digging. The garden is again covered in snow and frozen. When it warms up there will be so much to catch up with all at once.
I have to cheer myself up by pottering in the greenhouse. The tomatoes actually all germinated in four days and my own special variety of cherry tomato only took three days. Two nice varieties of aubergines I brought back from Thailand have also germinated well so I'm hoping for a better crop this year. If only we get a warm summer - here's hoping.
