I'm back . . .

Hi people, not been around for a few months . . . afraid we, thats Hazel and myself, have not been so well, plus the cold weather . . .
Managed to get the garden tidy in the autumn, and then it was a matter of see the winter out. You may remember, I was growing veggie in most of my flower boarders, plus, I have a 20ft greenhouse. The greenhouse did very well considering I have no idea what I'm doing! I ended up with more aubergines and sweet peppers of commercial size than you could shake a stick at . . .
Discovery . . . neither Hazel or me like aubergine!
Outside, runner beans, versus French climbing bean . . . the French bean has won, easier to prepare and I prefer the texture and flavour . . . O'dear, my poor old grandma would turn in her grave if she could read that
So its climbing French bean this year, I'll miss the bright scarlet flowers.
Its a bit limiting, growing veg in a flower boarder? Salad yes, but brasica and parsnips? we have a 40x20ft lawn . . . I was going to dig about a third of it . . . then as I say, unwell . . . did not want to leave a problem for Hazel
However, much better now, so I dug a 1m x 6m strip on Saturday . . . nearly finished me
but its don now, as I dug, I put manure in the trench, dont now if that right, but it seemed a way to kill two birds? Then I will top dress with some more manure in a week or so, and work it in lightly . . . Am I on the right track, this will be my brasica/parsnip strip?
Been looking at t'internet . . . is it me or are the seeds there expensive??? went to the garden center today and bought all I wanted . . . plus a few I did not know I wanted
for half the price?
The only thing I have had to get from the net is my 'SunGold' tomato seeds.
This year in the greenhouse, I'm growing, long red sweet peppers, Italian Beef tomatoes. I will have a little extra room, I think . . . initially I thought 'Mellon', dont want the faffing about of slinging then in hammocks! Cucumber? nah. Any one got any suggestions, please . . .
