position the aluminium rod which houses the soil-air -thermostat sensor through a hole 9mm diameter in the side of the propogation frame, just above the soil warming cable cover the rod and cable with a second layer of sand.loosen the cable clamping screw in the cable inlet bush on the underside of the control box which does not yet have a cable fitted.feed the end of the SOIL WARMING CABLE through this bush.
what it dosent tell you is that the plug attached to the one end of the cable needs to be removed and the wires inside that, are the ones to wire into the thermostat.on the other end of the cable is a strange looking rubber blank, youve guessed it that is the end we cut to wire into the thermostat.the plug end isnt part of the soil warming cable its just normal electric cable.is all lost or does anyone know if it can be fixed, thanks a totally gutted peterf.
