Our ageing Apple iMac has developed two thin vertical lines on the screen, one green, one orange. It's working fine otherwise. Does anybody know whether it augurs anything more serious?

Many thanks, Monika

I know nothing about Apple iMacs but is it possible to drive an ordinary monitor to prove it is the screen rather than the machine? If it is possible you might get a few more years out of it like this.

In an AppleiMac the computer and the screen are all one, so running a separate monitor isn't possible, Geoff.
