I would like to hear from anyone who has cooked a sponge or suet pudding in an electic steamer. I hope to cook individual puds in small basins or cups but have no idea how long to leave them steaming.
Any idea`s out there would be appreciated.
Jeanbarb.

My mother in law has one and makes puddings but she
has a recipe book that came with it. Have you tried
looking up the website of the manufacturer as they
might have either advise on site or a recipe book.
Sorry not much help but couldn't bare to see a non
answered posting from a new member.

Hi Westi, Nice of you to reply. I do have a booklet that came with the steamer but no recipe`s for puds. I will try the manufacturer, thanks for the tip. Jeanbarb.

You could always try Googling "Cooking a sponge or suet pudding in an electric steamer". I've often tried this as a line of last resort when I've been stuck for information and sometimes you find what you're looking for.
Welcome too !

I've got a steam oven which is great as a steamer. I use it every day for veg, fruit and eggs.
