I have grown a 4 y.o. almond tree - var. Ingrid - that has produced a bumper crop.

Any ideas about how to harvest? Do I leave them on until they fall off?

Once they are off the tree, when do I remove the outer case and inner case? And then storing them?

Also, are they OK to eat in any quantity?

I do not grow Almonds but when I was in France many years ago the Almond outer casing split and they were then picked and the outer case removed and they were stored as any other nut.
