Seems strange - the foliage usually goes bronze.

Dr Jameson - Exacty the same for me. I actually don't have too
much folliage on my carrots just seems to be stalk so don't have
any guidance about going bronze, but stalks are green. (Pesky clinbing rabbit is back).
Fortunatley I just seem to have a single ring of nibles around the carrots so can use above or below the mark. Annoying things is the little beggars
got under the environmesh - must be too slow weeding

As Geoff says, if it's carrot fly causing the problem the foliage should not be green.
Here's a veritable feast of carrot info and diseases if you're interested

Hi Alan,
Just wondering why you no longer grow carrots? I am still planning for next year, so any opinions on 'worthiness' of a crop are eagerly noted
