I actually saw some small terracotta pots in a Kitchenware Shop of all places. Whether they were as big as 2" I cannot remember.
You do not tell us in which part of the country you live but the shop in question is in Worcester.
It is best to tell us in which part of the country you live in order that you get any gardening advice pertaining to your area. There are a great many climatical differences between Lands End and John O'Groats if you get my drift.

Hi Johnboy, I have been off the air for quite a while but I had some chat with you several years ago, hope all is well with you now. I hadn't thought of kitchen shops but I do remember seeing them there, I think they use them for making candles I will try that. I live in N. Somerset.
Places that sell reclaimed building materials often have interesting collections of old clay pots.

2" pots seem far too wee even for cactuses. I'd expect them to dry out far too quickly to be of any use — cactus do like copious water when actively growing. Whenever I've raised cactuses from seed I prick them out into shallow community pots or trays. I then separate them out when they're a good size to individual pots, 9cm or above.
You might want to try an aquarium shop for your titchy pots. That sort of size, in clay, will give good anchorage for aquatic plants. Dehydration for them would not be a problem.
