First Peaches

Just been out and found 2 peaches ready - they were
rock hard at the weekend. I am chuffed as if you
remember I got terrible peach leaf curl.

There are probably another 20 on the tree which no
doubt will all come ready over the next few days so
I'll be moving onto the next topic - recipes and
storing :!:

Hmm. Nothing like a peach fresh off the tree. What variety is it, Westi?

It's a Rochester - yellow flesh with a lovely
red tinge to the skin. The white flesh one is
not going to do as it is still a right mess but
it has 2 peaches on it that are slowly growing.

When it stops raining I will try to get a photo
posted with them side by side so you can see
the difference. Mind it does say that the
Rochester has some resistance to peach leaf
curl so I could recommend on that as well as
taste.
