Today we took a day off and had a wonderful walk from Chipping up to Parlick then on to Fair Snape fell. The views were divine. The weather was wonderful. We had 360 degrees views of the Pennines, Winter Hill, Pendle Hill, Penyghent, Ingleborough, then to the north we could see the Langdales and Black Combe, (this is on my list of places to walk before I die) Finally we could see Morcambe Bay and Blackpool Tower. What a splendid day. Ah well back to the allotment tomorrow to catch up. (It is raining again at the moment).

Dear Catherine, that sounds a rather pleasant little stroll. :)
Glad you both enjoyed it.

Gilly C. We walked Humphrey Head quite a few years ago when we were camping in Cartmel. A wonderful place.

OH. Yes only 5 miles but very pleasant and we only met one other person, just our kind of walk. :D Not that we are antisocial or anything.....

Dont think I will be able to get to the allotment today as it has been torrential rain most of the night and at the moment it is raining steadily. We have grass paths and they just go to muddy tracks if we walk on them too much when it is so wet.

Looks like I will be doing my ironing this morning. :(
