HI Old Herbaceous
Just to let you know that I have started cropping my Peas (Radeo)

I had them with my dinner yesterday (Beautiful)

when do they stop growing as I have growing up 8ft canes and they are going to run out of cane soon

Do I stop them or should I just let grow
Kind Regards
Kevin

Dear Kevin, glad you are pleased with the peas, but really we have Clive and his Mum and Dad to thank for them, as they were the suppliers.
Regarding the height, i just let mine grow and fold over at the top a little, but i have put some stronger posts in this year to hold them.
You will need to keep on top of the picking to keep them cropping.

...and I must thank David Wood of A. Wood & Sons Builders, Alford, Lincolnshire...who supplied us at work with the seed in the first place.
Alford, Lincs being next to the village of Well where it is said the Pea Radio(eo?) originated.
Do make sure you save a specific short section of the row for next years seed supply...it is very easy to keep eating them..

In the meantime for the rest of the row...do keep picking as they come ready...
...you may find even slightly old ones can be used in a casserole sort of role....not that I have the foggiest about anything to do with cooking...just quoting my Mum. ...although I can confirm this from the plate.
On our light soil at home they are about coming to the end of cropping..but at work where the soil is a bit heavier there will be another few to pick..
All the best,
Clive.

Hi Clive, can you tell me the latest time you'd sow this variety of pea?
I am just putting ion a few canes of Alderman and might have room for your ones too. However even if put to soak now, they would hardly be sprouting before the end of the week.

3rd week in April or thereabouts is when I would have sown them. I have never tried anything much later than that as we need to crop ahead of mildew onset time.

Hi all,
I have looked and looked, but no seed company sells these.
Any help would be grateful
