Been thanked: 1 time

I couldn't resist buying one of these new extra large, sweeter than usual, blackcurrants this year, and have just picked a few berries.

They are just as described and when fully ripe are sweet enough to eat straight off the bush.

There aren't enough on it yet to make jam, but I'm very pleased with it and am looking forward to next year's crop when it has had chance to grow a bit.

Hi Plumpudding. These sound wonderful. I have seen them too and wondered about how good they were. I think I might invest in a bush when we extend our fruit cage. Did you buy it mail order or from a garden center? Cheers.
Happy with my lot
