Is there anyone else who feels like they just ain't got going yet? I think it's cosof the rubbish cold weather, it still feels like early February.
I've got seedlings growing away, but it's so *** cold that I don't feel ready to pot them on - and they don't look ready yet either. Last year, I had much more going by now.
Also, by lottie is frozed. Don't want to spend time digging when it's so wet and cold.
Feel like I'm just waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting ................... (drops off)

I'm with you. I filled 2 propogators full of vegetable and fruit goodies over a fortnight ago and nothing has emerged (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, chillies, melons, courgettes). Can't decide whether to move the things or empty them into the bin.
On the other hand - my fuschia and geranium cuttings are doing well in just a little heat. Annuals popping their heads above ground and herbs making good progress.
What's going on?

It's a late start this year alright. I remember last year at work we were in t-shirts outside in February on some days, but then it all went very cold in April & May, which did more harm in a way because everything was so far advanced.
I'm hanging fire on planting seed potatoes and sowing too much indoors for another week or so. Spring is slowly edging forward, but no point forcing the issue - luckily most stuff has a happy knack of being able to catch up

Definitely a late, cold start. I've got seedlings in the greenhouse that I keep having to bring in because it's going to freeze overnight. Usually a rarish event this time of year.

I ordered some fruit trees from the fruit & veg co that haven't been delivered yet - their ground is probably too frozen to dig them up! Mind you, I won't be able to hang around when they do arrive - might have to take a day off work to make sure I can plant them straight away.

If it's any consolation
www.metcheck.com are forecasting much of the same till 27th when the temp might go to a dizzy 12C followed by 18C on the 28th! But don't hold your breathe with such a long-term forecast. Anyway, Easter isn't for another month yet - plenty of time to catch up!
