Dear All,
now we have colder weather it would be a good idea to drain outdoor plumbing systems and cover taps. Hoses can be brittle in freezing conditions so empty them and store under cover.

Very good advice Sally which reminds me to check all empty watering cans for snails. They have a habit of staying snug up the spout all winter. Also round under the rim of pots.

I did read somewhere too that it was not a good idea to store hoses in the greenhouse - something to do with the toxins they might give off I think.

Regards
Beryl.

Hi

I'm not speechless but pleased that the magazine at last has seen the potential of linking with it's forum - seem to remember earlier suggestions on this theme!

That's the way it should be, working together as a team. What I want now is a tutorial in the magazine explaining all those extras that keep coming up on the Forum
