Hi, I've been given a Japanese wineberry plant, and don't know anything about it, whereabouts it should be planted, whether it should have some support, what spacing from other plants etc. Anybody know anything that may be of use? Thanks

Grow it like a Loganberry or Blackberry against a fence removing old shoots each year and tying in the new ones. Don't think they are fussy about aspect ours is in a fairly dark corner and does well. I think they are great, our fruit often decorates cheesecakes.

They are lovely. Juicy sticky red fruits which look lovely with blackberries which ripen at the same time.

Thanks everyone, that's all helped me a lot. I'll have to get some support for it, but it sounds like it's going to be well worth having!
