Broad bean hardiness

I am off on holiday on Friday for a week in Wales

and I have some broad beans in the ground and some ready to go in to the ground. (Also some peas that I have grown in pots) My question is are they very hardy as we are expecting some frost during this next week and I cant expect the person who is caring for my plot and watering to keep covering things up and uncovering things up each day. So I am just going to have to take pot luck. Will they be okay?
I think that next year we are going to have to change our holiday date to only go away in winter

horror says my OH.

Dear Catherine, they will be fine.
Hope you have a nice holiday, where abouts in Wales are you going?

Hello OH. Thank you for that. We have booked a holiday cottage in the Brecon Beacons area. Very lovely we have been there several times so we will be doing lots of walking and mountain biking. Here's hoping the weather is as fabulous as it has been here last week and this weekend.
Just off now to transplant the rest of my beans into the plot.

Then I am going to work through the long list of jobs to do before we go away.

I have broad beans and peas in the plot, unprotected from frost. They should be fine.
Give them a good water before you go and the person looking after your plot will probably only have to water once in the middle of the week you're away.
Have a nice holiday !

Thanks FA. I hope we will. Right the beans are in. Just got back from a long day at the plot and am really happy with my progress. Still lots to do but I might just get everything done before I go.

Going to put the peas in tomorrow.

I am having a very positive week this week

I will I will I will get through my list of things to do. Though why we put ourselves under such pressure just because we are going away for a week I will never know. I have been the same for the last 20 years and my OH says he does not think I will change. Now I have to make a lamb and leek hotpot for the freezer to take away and then I have to ............... :

Good morning OH. The wonders of modern technology there is a wi-fi D link

here at the cottage in deepest Wales so I brought my laptop. But I am restricted to how long I use it. I promised to be good and not use it too much

(There is no central heating or mobile link but who needs that anyway) The weather was glorious this morning at 7am so I am getting the computer thing out of the way early so we can be off for the day.
